P.K. Allen was born and raised in Southeastern Colorado . At an early age she knew art was her passion and her first solo show was at age 10.

While in Jr. High, she began private studies with the late Charles Gutierrez and Mary Illiff Pringle. She continued her studies, obtaining a commercial art degree in 1969. Portrait paintings and still life studies became her primary focus with her works receiving many awards.

P.K.'s art career was interrupted for many years while raising a family and working as an addictions counselor -- but her love of art kept pulling her back.




			P.K. Allen was born and raised in Southeastern Colorado . At an early age she knew art was her passion and her first solo show was at age 10. 						She now sculpts and paints full time in her Pueblo , Colorado studio. Since resuming her art career she has studied with Kevin McPherson, Paul Lucchesi, Joan Hanley and Tuck Langland. P.K.'s bronze work reflects years of study while creating portraits. She is a master of detail and realism. Her first bronze sculpture "The Patriot" won best of show in the Arkansas Valley Fine Art Show in 2004.
